Maclaren Triumph Baby Stroller Review

The Maclaren Triumph Baby stroller is ideal for traveling, commuting, shopping and everyday use. This is because of this features, it is compact, lightweight, durable, affordable, and easy to use, making it a good value for your money.

Maclaren Triumph Baby Stroller: The Pros

A great thing about the Triumph is that the seat comes off and is machine washable. The hood is easy to clean too just wipe it off with a wet sponge and you’re good to go. Speaking of the hood, it’s very stylish and super easy to attach and detach from the buggy.

The Maclaren Triumph is perfect for children from 3 months to around 4 years of age. And because Maclaren Baby Pushchairs are so sturdy, parents say they last for years, they’ve even had their younger kids use the same stroller.

The Triumph features 2 ergonomic, foam insulated handle bars. The back of the seat can be pushed back in 3 positions. It’s also very compact, you can store it in the trunk of a medium sized vehicle.

This stroller weighs only 5 kg, making it only the second smallest Maclaren buggy. It is also one of the lightest pushchairs available. The Maclaren Triumph is so effortless to fold, you can do it with one hand. This is convenient for people in a rush.

Other noteworthy Pros:

  • 5 point harness that’s easy to do and undo, but watch your fingers when clipping it in
  • Carry strap makes it easy to carry
  • Good sized basket underneath
  • Rain cover easy to remove and completely cover the child’s feet, too.
  • 2 front lockable swivel wheels
  • Self-clipping safety catch

The Cons

The leg rest of the Triumph is not adjustable, and neither are the handle bars.

Another minor downside is the storage space. While the storage space is of good size, it can be difficult to get to it when your baby is sleeping or when the seat is set to a reclining position.

Though it is recommended for ages at least 3 months and older, I would suggest using it with babies at least 5 months or for children who can sit up on their own.

The brakes of the Triumph is possibly the biggest disappointment. Parents have commented that since the brakes are controlled with a lever that goes side to side, they have to bend down to employ it. They would prefer a pedal which can just be pressed by foot. But this is a minor setback and one may get used to it after a while.

Conclusion

The Maclaren Triumph is a great nippy little buggy great for daily use and perfect for city dwellers, holiday makers and for any parent who wants a baby pushchair that’s lightweight, inexpensive, super easy to use, and trendy. It may not come with bells and whistles but this Maclaren baby stroller does triumph over many other baby pushchairs out there that cost 3 to 5 times as much!
